Nescafe Dolce Gusto Majesto YouTube bumper ads

Another collaboration with Bristol-based agency Activation. Directed and shot four YouTube bumper ads celebrating Nescafe Dolce Gusto “Majesto Moments”. Shot over two days with actors on location in the mockumentary style of tv-series The Office. We enlisted the help of co-director Alastair Clayton, who’d specifically work with the actors and the comedy aspect.

True to the style of The Office, this wasn’t about pretty cinematography. It needed to look like we were following something real, happening in real time, so all ads were shot in one continuous take using a zoom lens to cover wides and close-ups when required. I used my own Sony FS7 with a Canon CN7x17 KAS S/P1 - 4K Cine-Servo Lens 17-120mm / T2.95 - 3.9 provided by VMI Bristol. I lit the rooms with large Jem Balls supported by two Fomex FL-600 1x1 Bi-Col LED panels.
