Unfiltered Finds Its Audience

Unfiltered is having a moment. Since its completion, the film has been travelling the festival circuit and gathering recognition along the way, with selections and awards that reflect how the work is landing with audiences and programmers.

The film follows a young woman as she records letters to her own body, moving from self-criticism toward something more honest about beauty standards, identity, and the pressure to measure up.

This month, Unfiltered screens at the Liverpool Indie Awards, where lead actor Romy Clarkson has received a nomination for Best New Actor. It's a meaningful recognition of a performance that sits at the heart of the film.

It's still early in the festival season, and hopefully there are more selections and awards to come.
