Water and Light - a couple of days in Rotterdam

Rotterdam is where it all began for me, creatively. I don't always go back with a plan, but I nearly always end up in the same places: Katendrecht, Kop van Zuid, Museumplein, Witte de Withstraat. Each one different in character, but connected by the same thing that keeps drawing me back: the water, and everything the city has built around it.

The bridges especially. There's something about the way Rotterdam frames itself across the Maas that makes you want to stop and look, regardless of how many times you've seen it.

I was there briefly last week. The weather was kind for the time of year, which meant the light was too. Sometimes that's all you need.
